Ocular cicatricial pemphigoid

Ocular cicatricial pemphigoid is a chronic progressive immunological disease, although acute inflammatory episodes may occur. Typically, it leads to fornix foreshortening, symblepharon and dry eye problems. In the end stage, the cornea is severely affected, resulting in serious vision loss. We report on the diagnosis and management of a patient with ocular cicatricial pemphigoid and comment on the differential diagnosis, complications and treatment options
