HADRIAN is a digital human modeling (DHM) system that is currently under development as part of an EPSRC funded project in the UK looking at accessible transport. The system is a partner tool to the long established SAMMIE DHM system and aims to address issues with the lack of applicability of DHM tools to inclusive or universal design problems. HADRIAN includes a database of 102 manikins based directly upon data taken from real people, many of whom are older or with disabilities and who span a broad range of anthropometry, age, and joint mobility.
