In this letter, 3D printing technology is used to modify the substrate shape with the aim of modifying the antenna's performance. The antenna substrate is made using a 3D printer and commercially available materials. A ridge near the center of the patch has been used to downshift the resonant frequency of the antenna. The effect of the ridge shape has been investigated via simulations and measurement
