Of the total 1500 diabetic patients approached, 1094 (72.9%) gave their consent. Data analysis included, sociodemographic, serum lipid profiles (LDL, HDL), calcium, uric acid, blood pressure and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) at baseline and after six months.
