Spinal epidural hematoma (SEH) causing neurological deficit is a rare clinical entity. It may have either traumatic origin or it may occur spontaneously. Majority of the reported cases of SEH had nontraumatic causes and most of them were in the acute stage. Early chronic traumatic SEH in an adult is very rare and its prompt diagnosis with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is crucial for the accurate management of the patient.
