Bu çalışmada sayısal modülasyon yöntemlerinden darbe-genlik modülasyonu (PAM) ve faz kaydırmalı anahlama (PSK) modülasyon yöntemleri anlatılmıştır. M-seviyeli modülasyon yöntemlerinde M seviyesi arttıkça hata olasılığı artmaktadır. Hata olasılığını azaltmak için daha yüksek işaret-gürültü oranı gerekir.
