Tooth is the quintessential part of the oral cavity and can be subjected to pathologic processes during the development resulting in an anomaly pertaining to morphological variations. Embryological events during stages of tooth development are affected by genetic and environmental factors that lead to deviation.Dilaceration, talon cusp, fusion, taurodontism, concrescence and dens-evaginatus are few commonly occurring morphological variations. Each of these is described along with their clinical implications and their bearing in clinical practice. Conclusion:The knowledge of the developmental anomalies and their clinical significance attributes to the diagnostic work up and specific treatment plan
