SOUROUBEA LOCZYI (MARCGRAVIACEAE) UN REGISTRO NUEVO PARA LA PORCIÓN MEXICANA DE LA PENÍNSULA DE YUCATÁN

Souroubea loczyi subsp. loczyi represents thefirst record of the family Marcgraviace in theMexican portion of the Yucatan Peninsula.Until now, the species had been known inMexico from the states of Chiapas, Tabasco,and Veracruz, as well as in Belize, Guatemalay Honduras. The material from Yucatan isdescribed and compared with other materialof the genus in Mexico as well as with relevant information available in the literature.La reciente colecta de Souroubea loczyi subsp.loczyi en Campeche representa el primer registro de la familia Marcgraviace en la porciónmexicana de la península de Yucatán. Hastala fecha este taxón se conocía en México, enlos estados de Chiapas, Tabasco y Veracruz,así como en Belice, Guatemala y Honduras.Se describe y comparan los especímenescolectados con material mexicano del géneroSouroubea y la bibliografía existente
