USO DE ISOENZIMAS DE ENDO-ß-D-1,4-GLUCANASA Y VARIABLES FISIOLÓGICAS PARA LA DELIMITACIÓN DE ESPECIES DEL GÉNERO SACCOBOLUS

The aim of this work was to establish thedelimitation of ten species of the genusSaccobolus on the base of cultural characters,production and electrophoretic pattern of endoß-D-1, 4 glucanase. Monosporic strains of tenspecies of the genus were used throughout.Thephenogram obtained from the analysis ofgrouping (UPGMA) showed two groups ofspecies, corresponding to the two sections ofthe genus. A high intraspecific homogeneitywas observed, since there were not differencesinthe status of the characters among themonosporic strains of each geographicalisolates, and not even among differentgeographical isolates. The analysis ofphenograms showed a high degree of association among species, which correlates withmorphological observations and physiological behavior of the taxa. Se utilizaron cepas monospóricasde diez especies del género. El fenogramaobtenido a partir del análisis de agrupamientos(UPGMA) muestra dos grupos principales deespecies, correspondientes a cada una de lasdos secciones en las que se divide el género. Seobservó una alta homogeneidad intraespecíficaya que no se observaron diferencias en losestados de los caracteres entre las cepasmonospóricas de cada aislamiento geográfico yaun entre distintos aislamientos geográficos. Elanálisis del fenograma muestra un alto grado deasociación entre las especies, lo cual concuerdacon las observaciones morfológicas y elcomportamiento fisiológico del grupo donde lasespecies aparecen como un continuo. Losresultados de este trabajo avalan el uso de lospatrones isoenzimáticos y las diferencias en losparámetros fisiológicos para la delimitación delas especies del género, que constituyenunidades taxonómicas independientes.
