Dampak Sosial dan Ekonomi TKW Bagi Anak dan Keluarganya: studi Kasus TKW di Kecamatan Pabelan Kabupaten Semarang

This study has the objective to analyze the social and economic impact for children and families TKW to family in the village of Tukang, Pabelan subdistrict, Semarang regency. The research has a descriptive nature that tries to answer the question - the question is how an activity contained within the object to be studied. Study gives a real descripe of the socio-economic impact of migrant workers. The unit of analysis is the socio-economic impact of the child and the family maid. The data was collected by interview, observation and documentation. From the research results can be known TKW has negative and positive impacts for families and children left behind. The social impact in terms of positives include more confident because they feel socially to be on par with the citizens. For children school can enjoy higher than himself. Negative terms of which many are household mess either divorced or not harmonized and the child becomes less of a concern or misguided because it was raised by someone else so the impact on delinquency or failure of a child's education. Positive economic impact in terms of the economic views of the ownership of decent shelter as a family and the abolishment of the debt that had been experienced, saving money and children had guarantees in the cost of living and education. The negative effects can be seen to be more luxurious lifestyle so that when it does not become maids even worse economy. If the views of financial management submitted to the child is not right it will have a negative impact on children's behavior
