Objective: The aim of this study is to adapt The Brief Fear of Negative Evaluation Scale (BFNE) to Turkish and to examine its reliability and validity. Three hundred and twenty five (325) university student from Sakarya University (124 female, 201 male) participated in the study. The validity and reliability of scale was investigated by test re-test, Cronbach alpha, split-half, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and criterion related validity methods. Social Appearance Anxiety Scale (SAAS) was used for the criterion related validity.
