Bu çalışma, Aydın ilinde pamuk ekim alanlarından elde edilen Verticillium dahliae (Vd) izolatlarının vegetatif uyum gruplarını (VCG) belirlemek amacıyla ele alınmıştır. 2004 ve 2005 yıllarında Aydın ilinde pamuk ekim alanı açısından önemli 12 ilçede pamuk bitkilerinden 47 Verticillium spp. izolatı elde edilmiş ve Acala SJ2 çe?idi pamuk bitkilerinde iklim odasında patojenisite testleri yapılmıştır. Vd izolatların virülensi %3.83- 100 arasında değişirken, pamuk bitkilerindeki yaprak döküm oranlarının ise %0.0-100.0 arasında değiştiği belirlenmiştir.
