Çalışmada fen ve teknoloji öğretiminde kavram haritaları ve zihin haritalarının kullanımının öğrencilerin kavramları anlama düzeyleri ve fen ve teknolojiye yönelik tutumları üzerindeki etkileri araştırılmıştır. Eşitlenmemiş-denkleştirilmemiş ön test-son test kontrol gruplu desenin kullanıldığı araştırmaya deney gruplarında 17’şer ve kontrol grubunda 17 olmak üzere toplam 51 öğrenci katılmıştır. Deneysel uygulama altıncı sınıf öğrencilerinin katılımıyla fen ve teknoloji derslerinden ses ve ışık ünitesinde dört hafta süre ile devam etmiştir.
