A discrete model by which the prestressed tendons can be modelled independent on concrete FE-Mesh is presented. The secondary reinforcement and stirrups are represented using a smeared model. The prestressing force at the anchorage and prestress losses due to friction and slippage directly can be represented. The anchorage is modelled using Lagrange multiplier, Penalty function or by having an identical node for steel and concrete elements at the anchorage point. An elasto-plastic concrete model and bilinear elasto-plastic model for steel is used for numerical studies
