National audienceThe arrival of the early neolithic in the northern half of France has developped the grinding and abrading activities on settlements. The study of the status of this stonetools in the domestic area led us discuss the management of the raw material, of its recycling and rejection. The representativity and functional value of these tools contribute to our understanding of the activities which took place in each house. Grindingstones hoards also give a symbolic and technical value to the domestic area.
