13 p.International audienceThe track called "Chaussée Jules César" (Val-d'Oise, France) is identified as a roman road since the 16e century. In 1999 and 2000, excavation and morphologic studies allowed to renew our knowledge of this road. From Antiquity until now, the dynamics and the function of roman way can be apprehended through a enlarged vision of the surrounding. This morphological approach accounts for the various periods of the path, its persistent itinerary, the mobility of certain sections and the durability of the surface.
