Tombstone in the Fairview Cemetery in Gainsville, Texas. Inscription of the stone reads: To the memory of W.H.H. Addington, born Oct. 17, 1840 in Gilliam Co., Georgia. He was wounded at the Battle of Oostanolla, I.T. on Dec. 20, 1861. Died at Ft. Gibson, Jan. 3, 1862. Interred at this place Feb. 3, 1862. His last words were "Tell my mother I fell for her and will meet her in heaven"
