This dissertation extends the work on the characterization of Chaos-Based Frequency Modulated (CBFM) signals, Chaos-Based Phase Modulated (CBPM) signals and the one-dimensional chaotic maps from which they are derived for radar imaging applications. This work is expected to contribute to broadening the frontiers of understanding in the area of high range-Doppler resolution radar imaging. For this purpose, a technique to determine analytically the invariant densities for one-dimensional chaotic maps is developed, and the condition for a minimum correlation for the one-dimensional chaotic maps is determined. Also, a signal processing approach that yields an FM signal derived from a chaotic one-dimensional map, with a spectral shape determined...
