Paleobotany records from the Northern Pampa are very scarce and poorly known. 17 Only a palynological study in Paraná Formation (Upper Miocene) was previously done 18 (Anzótegui and Garralla, 1982, 1986). In this work, a systematic description of 19 dinoflagelates, pteridophytes, gimnosperms and angiosperms (including Proteaceae 20 family), found in sediments from the Josefina well (Santa Fe Province), were done 21 (Anzótegui and Garralla, 1982, 1986).
