In recent time, the value of creating peaceful and focused classrooms to favour childrens’ learning has been emphasized in Swedish schools. This has, in some parts of the country, led to the implementation of an evidence based pedagogical method called PAX i skolan, that has shown to promote such values. The principal is in most cases responsible for the overall pedagogical development at a specific school, and is therefore naturally involved in managing the implementation of new teaching methods, such as PAX i skolan.
