El Inventario de 1666 del archivo del Monasterio de Santa María la Real de las Huelgas de Valladolid

Following the directives of the Cistercian rules, the monastery of the Huelgas Reales of Valladolid compiled an Inventory of the papers in its archives in 1666. The present paper links the Inventory both with the institution that produced it –the monastery of the Huelgas– and with its archives, comparing it with additional information gathered from other archival resources and from the very documents preserved in the archives. Furthermore, the paper attempts to show the distinctive features of the Inventory by analyzing its structure, the information it provides and the goals pursued by whoever was responsible for its creationSiguiendo los dictados de la normativa cisterciense, el monasterio de las Huelgas Reales de Valladolid elaboró en 1666 un Inventario de los papeles de su archivo. En las siguientes páginas trataremos de ponerlo en relación con el organismo productor, el monasterio de las Huelgas, y el archivo del mismo, comparándolo con la información que conocemos gracias a otros instrumentos de control y a la propia documentación en él conservados. Por otro lado, trataremos de reflejar sus particularidades, analizando su estructura, la información contenida y la finalidad que perseguían los responsables de su elaboración
