DASAR PERTIMBANGAN PUTUSAN HAKIM DALAM MENJATUHKAN PIDANA PENJARA SEUMUR HIDUP TERHADAP PELAKU TINDAK PIDANA KORUPSI

Corruption is getting more often in Indonesia with perpetrators of the most government officials. Although there’s been a special institution in the corruption case, it didn’t affect the reduction of corruption. Indonesia is a law nation and a judge is a constitutional tool of the legislation. Verdict by the judge is a result to expect to give a justice. Legal research with the title "the basis for consideration of judges' decisions in imposing life imprisonment against perpetrators of corruption" is prepared by normative research methods. The data source of normal legal research is secondary data. Based on data analysis, it requires judges or law enforcers who are more assertive in dealing with corruption cases in Indonesia.
