Background:Preeclampsia (PE) and gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) are both associated with increasedrisk of future cardiovascular disease (CVD). Knowledge of the relationship between these pregnancycomplications and increased CVD risk enables early prevention through lifestyle changes.
