The number of road accidents caused by vehicles in the city of Dar es Salaam is very alarming. One of the major causes of road accidents is vehicle defects and speeding, which is largely contributed by a lack of digitally-enhanced systemic mechanisms for vehicle inspection and monitoring. To curb down vehicle crimes and accidents, automated enforcement need to complement road safety laws through adoption of ICT innovations.
