Advances in early detection, prevention, risk stratification, and therapeutic strategies as well as supportive care for patients have resulted in important improvements in mortality and reduction of cancer relapse. However, around 20% of the patients will present metastatic disease. Advanced breast cancer is still an incurable disease with a median overall survival (OS) of ∼3 years, while the 5-‐year survival of only ∼25%2.
