HUBUNGAN KADAR ASAM URAT TEHADAP KEJADIAN OSTEOARTHRITIS PADA LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS DINOYO KOTA MALANG

Background: Excessive buildup of uric acid levels causes buildup in the joints and other organs which makes joints sore, painful and inflamed. In the elderly many are found to complain of low back pain, knees, etc. Osteoarthritis is a common thing in the elderly considering that the disease is degenerative. Method: This study used a descriptive analytic design with an observational design with a cross sectional approach aimed at studying the dynamics of the correlation between gout and osteoarthritis, by way of approach to observation or data collection at one time or at an approximating time point. Result: The results of the study with Chi Square Test obtained a significance level of 0.017 to obtain a value (P <0.05), the value of sig. (2-tailed)
