ANALISIS PEMASARAN KENTANG DI DESA SUMBER KABUPATEN PROBOLINGGO

Potatoes are one of the horticultural crops developed in Indonesia, specifically East Java, Probolinggo Regency in Sumber Village. The suitability of the natural conditions of Sumber Village with the conditions for growing potato plants caused many farmers in the area to cultivate potato crops. Potatoes can flourish in the highlands or mountains with an altitude of about 1000-3000 m above sea level. potatoes can be one of the most potential sectors from Sumber District and Probolinggo District. The purpose of this study are: 1.) Knowing the marketing channels for potato commodities in Sumber Village. 2.) Knowing the role of marketing institutions in the distribution of potatoes in Sumber Village. 3.) Analyzing the marketing margin of potatoes in Sumber Village. The determination of the research area was carried out intentionally (purposive). Sampling using probability sampling techniques, namely by using simple random sampling (Simple Random Sampling). Methods of data analysis with quantitative descriptive. Descriptive to analyze marketing channels carried out by marketing institutions. While quantitative to analyze marketing margins, farmer share and marketing efficiency. The results of this study indicate if there are two patterns of potato marketing channels, namely, marketing channel I: Farmers - Brokers - Wholesalers - Retailers - Consumers. Marketing channel II: Farmers - Brokers - Retailers - Consumers. Analysis of marketing margins on marketing channel I amounted to Rp 4,100 and on marketing channel II amounted to Rp 3,000. The value of the farmer share in marketing channel I was 66.94%, while in marketing channel II it was 73.45%
