PENGARUH BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI EKSTRAK DAUN JAMBU BIJI (Psidium guajava L.) VARIETAS PUTIH DAN MASA SIMPAN TERHADAP JUMLAH BAKTERI PADA DAGING AYAM BROILER (Gallus domesticus) SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR BIOLOGI

The abundance of nutrients in broiler chicken meat makes the nutrient fields for bacteria to multiply. Broiler chicken meat can be quickly damaged due to bacterial activity can change the color, taste, and aroma of meat. White guava leaves can be used as a natural preservative in broiler chicken meat. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various concentrations of guava leaves extract (Psidium guajava L.) white verietas and the storage time of broiler chickens on the number of bacteria in broiler chicken meat (Gallus domesticus) and connecting with SNI. Research results can also be used as a source of learning biology. This study uses a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which has two independent variables namely various concentrations of guava leaves extract (Psidium guajava L.) white varieties and the storage time. This study also has a dependent variable that is the number of bacteria in broiler chickens and the control variable of the chicken meat taken is wings, soaking the meat for extracting for 30 minutes, and room temperature for chicken storage. The analysis used in processing this data is two way ANOVA and Duncan test with a significance value of 0.05. The results of this study indicate that various concentrations of guava leaves extracts of white varieties and storage time have an influence on the storage timeof broiler chickens. The treatment that gave the best results was the treatment of broiler chicken meat which was given a guava leaves extract of 30% white varieties with a storage time of 6 hours. The treatment shows the average Total Plate Count (TPC) 2.2 x105 which means that it is under SNI. While all research treatments with various varieties of guava leaves extracts of white varieties and storage time of 12 hours have the TPC test results exceeding the Indonesian SNI number which is 1 x 106
