ANALISIS GAYA BAHASA RETORIS PADA KUMPULAN LAGU DAERAH BIMA NUSA TENGGARA BARAT

Song is one of the results of human creativity. It contains beautiful words with perfect rhyme. Song’s lyrics are frequently explain about someone’s feeling or past experience that is documented as a written proof for the next generation. Rhetorical language style is reasonable deviation form of a construction. It purposes to give explanation effect, strengthen the meaning, turn on inanimate object, and to give or bring laughter. Denotative is the real meaning or the meaning based on human’s five senses include: sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste. According to the above explanation, the focus of this study are: (1) Rhetorical language style in regional songs collection of Bima NTB, (2) Denotative meaning in regional songs collection of Bima NTB. Descriptive qualitative method was applied in this study. However, the data of this study were regional song’s lyrics of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. The data taken were in a form of words, phrase, or sentences that showed a rhetorical language style in regional songs collection of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. Eleven regional songs collection of Bima West Nusa Tenggara were used as the sources of this study. Moreover, some procedures were conducted in this study: (1) collected the data, (2) translated the song, (3) categorized the data presentation, and (4) wrote a conclusion. The analysis and discussion result about rhetorical language style showed that: (1) there were some rhetorical language styles in regional songs collection of Bima, West Nusa Tenggara; assonance, anastrophe, apostrophe, asyndeton, polysyndetone, chiasmus, ellipsis, euphemism, proteron hysteron, pleonasm, prolepsis, and oxymoron. (2) Denotative meaning of eleven regional songs collection of Bima could be understood by understanding the rhetorical language style that was used by the poet. However, the researcher found that most of the themes of Bima regional songs were about the real life experienced by human, such as: love, struggle, loss, and sacrifice. Human could have those experiences because of their five senses; sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste. Moreover, the researcher hopes that this result may give contribution for the reader to be easier in understanding the rhetorical language style meaning used by the poets to express their feeling
