In recent years, great disasters generated in urban rail transit systems are increasing causing serious influence to the society. In order to realize the effective risk management of urban rail transit system operations, the risk classification of city rail traffic emergencies is quite necessary. In this study, a large number of urban rail transit incidents were collected to analyze the damaging effects of emergencies. Three categories of indicators for risk classification were identified and quantified.
