The aim of this dissertation is to shed light on a less known theological pair, praxis and theory, as it is presented in the texts of saint Maximus the Confessor. The Holy Father presents and explicates the mystery of salvation of man though the use of symbols in the praxis and theory, staying at the same time faithful to the teaching of the previous Church Fathers.
