This chapter discusses the issue of investigative training in the context of the evidence based policing paradigm within the UK, USA and Canada. These jurisdictions are at different developmental points, although arguably the UK has made significant advances within the last few years.This chapter asks the question to what extent does evidence based police training inculcate crime investigators with the appropriate knowledge skills and understanding to be able to carry out their role effectively
