STEP Category: Undergraduate ResearchI spent my STEP grant to volunteer in the Injury and Biomechanics Research Center during the summer of 2019. I observed many projects that involved postmortem human subjects and investigated the mechanics of injury in the human body. I learned scientific skills and got the opportunity to see the research process firsthand. Some of the skills taught included setting up high speed cameras, placing strain gauges and handling bio-hazardous waste. There were also bi-weekly student meetings. These provided an opportunity to discuss current projects and to practice research presentations. The Ohio State University Second-year Transformational Experience Program (STEP)Academic Major: Health Sciences Progra
