Purpose: This research project looked at the social impacts of the Tiree Music Festival and how they affected the residents’ perceptions. Methods: A qualitative and inductive approach was used during the research process. Using semi-structured interviews allowed the data gathered to be rich and detailed, but as concise as possible. Some unprecedented topics arose during these interviews and were included in subsequent interviews to gain additional opinions from the views of residents. Thematic analysis was used when analysing the data gathered, and ethical considerations were identified before data collection took place.
