This paper seeks to contribute to the debate around the United Nations' seventeen sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the role of business schools in their realisation. It explores the challenges that signatories of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) may potentially encounter, concerning their recent commitment to make meaningful contributions towards realising the SDGs. Furthermore, the paper offers practical recommendations for addressing the identified challenges. Though PRME is a global initiative, backed by the United Nations and with over 700 signatories from roughly 80 countries, this paper focuses only on the UK context.
