International audienceZero Power Reactors bring significant results in experimental validation of neutronics calculation tools and knowledge of nuclear data through integral experiments. In order to preserve such experimental capabilities after the closure of both MINERVE and EOLE French ZPRs at the end of 2017, the CEA has decided to go into the design of a new multipurpose facility called ZEPHYR (Zero power Experimental PHYsics Reactor). ZEPHYR should compile the capacities of the two actual mock ups and improve them in several ways.
