The results of studies of earth dam dynamics using plane and spatial structure models considering for viscoelastic properties of soil under multicomponent kinematic effect are presented in the paper. Dynamic behavior of a dam under multicomponent kinematic effect using plane and spatial models is analyzed. A fairly good agreement of results of dynamic behavior of structures obtained by plane and spatial models for the Gissarak dam is explained by its extended geometry, which meets the requirements of a plane-deformed state. Geometrical dimensions of the Sokh dam do not meet the specified requirements, therefore, there is a difference in the results obtained by plane and spatial models.
