Bu çalışmada içten yanmalı benzin motorlarında segman boşluğu ve yağ filminden kaynaklanan hidrokarbonların oluşum mekanizması incelenmiştir. Mevcut model üzerinde, yağ filmi tarafından emilen HC miktarları ve hidrokarbonların bu ortamdan çıkarak yanma odasındaki hareketleri modelinden faydalanılmıştır. Segman boşluk bölgelerine sıkışan HC miktarları modeli ile bu bölgelerden çıkış modeli ve yanma modeli iyileştirilmiştir.
