Bu çalışmada içten yanmalı motorlarda krank mili burulma titreşimleri incelenmiştir. Ele alman altı silindirli bir içten yanmalı motorun krank mili, volan ve damperi bilgisayarda katı modellenerek sonlu elemanlar yöntemiyle modal analize tabi tutulmuş, ayrıca ayrık model yardımıyla benzer bir analiz yapılmış ve sonuçlar karşılaştırılmıştır. 2. Bölümde dinamik analiz için temel bilgiler verilmiş ardından 3. bölümde pistonlu makinalarda özellikle krank mili titreşimleri ve kontrol yöntemleri ele alınmış, bilinen çözüm yöntemlerine değinilmiştir. 4. bölümde sonlu elemanlar metodunun dinamik problemlerde kullanılışı anlatılmıştır. 5. bölümde çalışmaya konu olan krank milinin analizi adım adım anlatılmış ve analiz neticeleri çıkarılmıştır.
