Bu çalışmanın amacı, morula ve blastosist aşamasındaki fare embriyolarının vitrifikasyonla dondurulmasında vitrifikasyon solüsyonu 3 (VS3) ve etilen glikol (EG) vitrifikasyon solüsyonlarının etkinliğini karşılaştırmaktır. Embriyolar ya 10 dakika süreyle 1.625 M gliserol + %1.5 polietilen glikol (PEG) içeren %25 VS3 içerisinde ya da 2 dakika süreyle 2 M etilen glikol (EG) + %10 fötal buzağı serumu (FCS) içerisinde oda ısısında ekilibre edilmiştir. Vitrifikasyon için M2 vasatı içerisinde hazırlanmış %100 VS3 (6.5 M gliserol + %6 PEG) veya 7 M EG solüsyonları kullanılmıştır. %25 VS3 içerisinde ekilibre edilen embriyolar %100 VS3 içerisine transfer edilmiş ve orada 30 saniye süre ile bekletilmiştir.
