El aprendizaje de la lectura en educación inicial

The research about the story as a methodological strategy for language development was carried out with the purpose of determining if the story favors the development of language in the children of the initial education levels. For this, a methodology was used based on the qualitative and quantitative approach, accompanied by bibliographical-documentary and field research to reach an exploratory level of research. The beneficiaries of the research project are the children, teachers, parents and authorities of the Children's Center "Semillitas César Naranjo" in Pujilí, in the province of Cotopaxi. Through the use of techniques such as the questionnaire survey with closed questions applied to the parents, the interview applied to the teacher of the initial level of education and an observation sheet based on achievement indicators applied to the children with the objective To determine the level of language development and the advantages of using children's stories in pre-school education. From the literature review it has been possible to determine that the development of language comprehension and expression skills contemplated in the initial education curriculum are indispensable for the cognitive development of the child as well as for their interrelation with the environment. Stimulate these skills from the earliest ages….La investigación realizada acerca del aprendizaje de la lectura en la educación inicial utilizando el cuento como estrategia metodológica para el desarrollo del lenguaje se realizó con el propósito de determinar si el cuento favorece el desarrollo del lenguaje en los niños y niñas de los niveles de educación inicial y por ende el aprendizaje de la lectura. Para lo cual se utilizó una metodología basada en el enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, acompañado de la investigación bibliográfica-documental y de campo para alcanzar un nivel exploratorio de la investigación. De la revisión bibliográfica se ha podido determinar que el desarrollo de las habilidades de comprensión y expresión del lenguaje contempladas en el currículo de educación inicial son indispensables para el desarrollo cognitivo del niño así como para su interrelación con el medio, por ello es importante que se estimulen estas destrezas desde las edades tempranas. Del mismo modo el cuento infantil posee características como impacto visual, lenguaje comprensible, historias impactantes, escenarios y personajes fantásticos que permiten captar la atención de los infantes y estimularlos a mejorar su imaginación, comprensión y expresión del lenguaje, y acercarlos de manera dinámica al mundo de la lectura…
