This study aimed to illustrate the most important symbols which the poetess used in her talk about self, society and the palestinian national cause. Fadwa Toqan is one of the Arab contemporary literary figures who occupied her position and tried hard to develop her poetic experience regardless the masculine limitations, habits and culture in society. The poetess used symbol as a means to express what was there in her depths and its reactions with self, society and her national cause.
