The profitable economic analysis with the treatments sowed in association reports a net utility of T-6 334.71 new continued suns Ts 220.69 new suns.Con el fin de determinar la mejor época de siembra del sistema asociado de maíz-fríjol con características agronómicas deseables para el Bajo Mayo; se puso en ejecución un ensayo comparativo de épocas de siembra de maíz (Marginal T-28) y fríjol caupi (Chongoyape) alcanzando el máximo potencial de rendimiento la época de 20 días de siembra del maíz sobre el fríjol T6 (F+M 20 D.S.F.) con 5 890 Kg/ha, y la variedad caupi que obtuvo el promedio mas alto de peso de 100 granos (cuadro 15) fue el T5 (F+M 15 D.S.F) con 15.98 g. resultando 1 598 Kg/ha respectivamente. El experimento en mención se llevo a cabo en la Provincia de San Martín, Distrito de Morales, en un suelo vertisol, textura fina, potasio y fósforo alto y con saturación de bases, la disposición del experimento empleado fue de bloques completamente randomizado, siendo la siembra de fríjol caupi por golpe a un distanciamiento de 0.80 x 0.30 m y semilla de maíz por golpe a un distanciamiento de 0.80 x 0.50 m obteniéndose una población de maíz de 50 000 plantas por ha. Fríjol una población de 41 666 plantas por ha. Se efectuó una fertilización con urea y potasio hacia el suelo, la aplicación de fertilizantes se realizó cuando las plantas de maíz estaban en el estadio 4, entre los primeros días los cultivos de maíz y fríjol tuvieron poca adaptabilidad; principalmente por factores climáticos que mostraron los meses de Marzo, Abril, Mayo, con intensas lluvias que perjudicaron el desarrollo de los cultivos y el incremento de plagas y enfermedades. Pero sin embargo la época de siembra que reportó él mas alto rendimiento de grano fue el T6 (F+M 20 D.S.F) con 5 890 Kg/ha; siendo el más bajo rendimiento el T2 fríjol monocultivo con 623 Kg/ha.
