Relación entre las expectativas por la carrera docente y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de la carrera profesional de educación de la facultad de educación y humanidades

Our research was aimed at finding the possible relationship between expectations for the teaching profession and the academic performance of students in the Faculty of Education and Humanities, School of Education Academic, home Rioja with the aim that, by studying , it has a clear vision of the emotional component of the students as a determinant in their academic performance. The two key instruments for the assessment of the variables considered in the study were: an inventory of expectations for the teaching profession, through which we verified the presence of indicators in its five constituent dimensions, the other instrument was a record of notes to organize the qualifying academic achievement expressed in semi-weighted averages. The general trend of the expectations of students against the teaching profession is positive even with highly significant trends that cuts across both the career of early education and in careers in primary and secondary school career. However, in terms of academic performance as a second variable, we found a set of descriptions of the regular level in all career levels, which show satisfactory performance being not so good student. The real value of the data showed a weak relationship between teaching career expectations of students and their academic performance, consider that there is more than coincidental manifestation of a fact that in reality exists: the presence of multiple factors or variables affecting academic. performance. La producción de la conducta motivada en un individuo es fundamental para definir su modo de actuar. De forma concreta (Mayor y Tortosa) explican que esta conducta motivada presenta características apreciables, por ejemplo la deficiencia o disminución del nivel en alguna variable necesaria para el funcionamiento del organismo desencadena un proceso que tiene como objetivo avisar al individuo para que éste "sepa" que tiene que llevar a cabo alguna actividad que restaure el equilibrio en esa variable. Como consecuencia de ese aviso, que el individuo suele experimentar como un cierto malestar típico, es muy probable que se inicie la conducta motivada dirigida a suprimir el malestar y a recuperar el equilibrio o el nivel de dicha variable. Entonces, la motivación por la carrera crea expectativas en el estudiante que pasa a formar parte de su motivación personal y se realizan únicamente por interés o por el placer de realizar las actividades inherentes; este hecho caracteriza al interés por la carrera como una motivación de tipo intrínseca ya que su función aparece como una necesidad psicológica que impulsa al estudiante a mejorar y a dominar las exigencias formativas de la profesión que lo estimula a conseguir las metas más difíciles. Nuestra investigación estuvo orientada a la búsqueda de la posible relación entre las expectativas por la carrera docente y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Educación y Humanidades, Escuela Académica de Educación, sede Rioja con la finalidad de que, a partir del estudio, se tenga una clara visión del componente emocional de los alumnos como determinante en su desenvolvimiento académico. Los dos instrumentos fundamentales para la evaluación de las variables consideradas en el estudio fueron: un inventario sobre expectativas por la carrera docente, por intermedio del cual se verificó la presencia de los indicadores en sus cinco dimensiones constitutivas, el otro instrumento fue un registro de notas para organizar los calificativos del rendimiento académico expresado en los promedios ponderados semestrales. La tendencia general de las expectativas de los estudiantes frente a la carrera docente es positiva incluso con tendencias de alta significancia que se transversaliza tanto en la carrera profesional de educación inicial como en la carrera profesional de educación primaria y en la carrera profesional de educación secundaria. Sin embargo, en cuanto al rendimiento académico, como segunda variable, se encontró un conjunto de calificativos del nivel regular en todos los niveles de la carrera profesional, que s,iendo satisfactorios revelan un desempeño estudiantil no tan bueno. El valor real de los datos reflejaron una relación débil entre las expectativas por la carrera docente de los estudiantes y su rendimiento académico, consideramos que no es más que la manifestación coincidente de un hecho que en la realidad existe: la presencia de. múltiples factores o variables que afectan el rendimiento académico. Sin que sea la motivación la variable de mayor incidencia, su presencia siempre es notoria y se constituye en uno de los aspectos importantes en el espectro de fenómenos anímicos de la motivación humana asociados al desenvolvimiento estudiantil
