Propiedades mecánicas, eléctricas y de durabilidad de concretos con agregados reciclados

The purpose of this master's degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on structures, was to evaluate the behavior of concrete with the replacement of coarse aggregate by aggregates of recycled concrete (ACR); this behavior was evaluated by evaluating some of the electrical, mechanical and durability properties of the mixtures made with this material. The ACR used in the different mixtures of the tests, was produced from the crushing of concrete specimens which had been tested in the laboratory of the Colombian School of Engineering. 8 different mixtures were evaluated with four different contents of recycled aggregates ( 0%, 25%, 50% and 100%) and two values ​​of water / cement ratio (0.5 and 0.6). Among the properties analyzed are the compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, resistivity, impedance, ultrasonic pulse velocity, chloride ion permeability, carbonation and sortividad.Los results of the tests clearly indicated that in the mixtures with higher percentage of recycled aggregate, the results of the modulus of elasticity and the resistance to compression are lower than for concrete with natural aggregate. The compressive strength of a concrete with 100% ACR has an estimated reduction of 20% to 25%, compared to a conventional concrete. At the same time, the electrical and durability properties measured by resistivity, impedance, yield and chloride ion permeability tests are affected by the increase in the percentage of recycled aggregate and the water / cement ratio.El presente trabajo de grado de maestrÍa de profundización en ingenierÍa Civil, con énfasis en estructuras, tuvo como finalidad evaluar el comportamiento del concreto con reemplazo de agregado grueso por agregados de concreto reciclado (ACR); dicho comportamiento se evaluó mediante la valoración de algunas de las propiedades eléctricas, mecánicas y de durabilidad de las mezclas hechas con este material. El ACR usado en las diferentes mezclas de los ensayos, fue producido a partir de la trituración de probetas de concreto las cuales habÍan sido ensayadas en el laboratorio de la Escuela Colombiana de IngenierÍa.Se evaluaron 8 diferentes mezclas con cuatro contenidos diferentes de agregados reciclado (0%, 25%, 50% y 100%) y dos valores de relación agua/cemento (0,5 y 0,6).Dentro de las propiedades analizadas están la resistencia a la compresión, módulo de elasticidad, resistividad, impedancia, velocidad de pulso ultrasónico, permeabilidad al ion cloruro, carbonatación y sortividad.Los resultados de los ensayos indicaron claramente que en las mezclas con mayor porcentaje de agregado reciclado, los resultados del módulo de elasticidad y la resistencia a la compresión son más bajos que para concretos con agregado natural. La resistencia a la compresión de un concreto con 100% de ACR tiene una reducción estimada del 20% al 25%, con respecto a un concreto convencional. Paralelamente las propiedades eléctricas y de durabilidad medida mediante ensayos de resistividad, impedancia, sortividad y permeabilidad al ion cloruro, se ven afectadas con el aumento del porcentaje de agregado reciclado y la relación agua/cemento.MaestríaMagíster en Ingeniería Civil con Énfasis en Ingeniería de Estructura
