FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE STUDENTS IN SELECTING CAREER TO BE AN AUDITORON GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR (Study on Accounting Students Class of 2016 & 2017 Faculty of Economics Andalas University )

This research aims to determine the factors that influence accounting students in career selection to be auditor. The factors used as variables in this research are financial award, work environment, certainty of job market, social values, work,professional recognition. The data were collected in this research through the distribution of questionnaires to the accounting students class of 2016 & 2017 at Andalas University. The sample used in this research were 165 respondents. Analysis of the data used in this research was multinomial logistic regression with SPSS version 17. The results of this research indicate that job market certainty, Sosial Values, Professional Recognition affected accounting students in career selection to be an auditor. Whereas professional training, work environment, and family influence financial award and work environment do not influence accounting students in career selection to be an auditor.
