This research aimed to analyze the effect of infrastructure and education to increase the standard of living in case of involuntary resettlement in Koto Panjang. This research used primary data in 2006 and the number of respondents is about 225 people or family heads. By using SEM (Structural Equation Model), the result indicates that infrastructure has a positive and significant effect on the standard of living for all indicators. But in education, one indicator is not significant effect and other indicators are significant effect on the standard of living
