Corona Virus Outbreak: A Mini Review

Corona Virus belongs to family of viruses that are known to cause illness ranges from minor to major health problems such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans, recently it has been identified in china. Rapidly spreading infection in china and Middle East countries, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and USA in recent days. This deadly virus claimed 800 plus lives and positive cases reported were more than 30,000 across the china and other countries, still rapidly spreading this virus and not controlled after sincere effort taken by China, W.H.O and CDC. Hence “World Health Organisation declares that the Corona Virus infection is a Global Health Emergency”. Common signs and symptoms: Respiratory symptoms, Fever, and cough and Shortness of breath. But sometimes asymptomatic cases also found. Currently there is no treatment available to cure this viral infection. Prevention includes: Regular hand washing, Avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness such as coughing and sneezing, Covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing and eat better and perfectly cooked non-veg items/dishes
