Pionirsko smrekovje nad sedanjo (antropogeno) zgornjo gozdno mejo v južnih Julijskih Alpah (primer iz zgornje Baške doline)

Applying the standard Central-European method (Braun-Blanquet 1964) we phytosociologically studied the former meadows and pioneer spruce stands on the sunny slopes of Mt. Črna prst, the peaks of šoštar and Kobla, as well as those on the Slatnik and the Lajnar ridge in the southern Julian Alps. We determined two stages in the secondary successional sere on sites of the subalpine beech forest (Polysticho lonchitis-Fagetum): grasslands rich in species are classified into the provisionally described association Centaureo julici-Laserpitietum nom. Prov.m (alliance Caricion austoalpinae Sutter 1962), and pioneer spruce stands into the initial subassociation Adenostylo glabrae-Piceetum M. Wraber ex Zukrigl 1973 corr. Zupančič 1993 betonicetosum alopecuri subass. nova
