Motivation: Due to the intensive use of antibiotics, resistant microorganisms have emerged that limit the usefulness of these compounds. This situation predicts an increase in deaths from infections in coming years. To solve this problem, we are conducting research into the identification of new antibiotic resistance genes, as well as searching for new molecules that could be used as therapeutic agents by themselves or in combination with known antibiotics. For this purpose we are going to study 22 strains resistant to antibiotics for hospital use isolated in the Hospital Virgen Macarena.
